This is from a reception that took place the same night Hallam, NE was destroyed by tornadoes.  It was pretty hairy for a while.  Only in Nebraska could you have a John Deere and a generator running behind the hall to keep a wedding party going!

Aug. 30, 2004

Dear Chris,
Hi! You played at my wedding on May 22 in Lawrence NE (the one where the electricity went out b/c of tornadoes nearby).  Anyway, I just really want to thank you.  You did an awesome job.  You read the people right - what they wanted to hear.  You were very flexible with the electricity and with people up there singing.  I can honestly say that I've never seen a DJ get out there and teach the steps to a dance and have so much success with it.  You really know how to work with a crowd.
I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated you .  Everybody we talked to said they had a blast.  The music you played was just right and I know I didn't help you out much with that.  So, Good Job! :)  I'll definitely suggest you to my friends.  Thank you so much.

Signed, The Bride and Groom
Thank You Notes:
Here are some nice thank you notes I've received:
I've withheld the names here on the website. If you want referral names and numbers, give me a call.

Here's a pair of e-mails I got from a couple concerning a their August 2003 Wedding Reception in Malcom, NE:

Chris,
I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job you did at our wedding.  We were so happy with everything!
We have had LOTS of complements on your work and everyone really seemed to enjoy that the music was not too loud and everyone could still carry on a conversation.  We greatly appreciated everything you did.  I will refer you to everyone!

Thank You!
The Bride

Chris,
I want to second what (the Bride) said.  I was very pleased with the excellent job you did, especially with the very little guidance we gave you.  Thank you for helping to make our day memorable.  Hopefully we will have the opportunity to recommend your services to others.

Thanks again
The Groom
This one was an Alumni Banquet and Dance in August 2002 in the small town of Steinauer, NE whose last graduating class was 1971.  That's the year I was born.  I was the youngest person there but we had a great time.

Dear Chris,
I wanted to Thank You for providing our music last Saturday.  Many people complemented me on my choice in hiring you and thought it was a great idea.  They all thought you were great, personable and played a good choice of music.  I will highly recommend you to everyone.  Maybe we'll see you in 2 years.

November 2002 - I still felt a bit inexperienced at this and had a very "high class" Wedding Reception booked at the York Auditorium.  The families knew exactly how they wanted things and the hall was absolutely beautiful.  They had a professional pianist there - a silver haired 60ish fellow from Florida (a family friend I think) playing background music on a grand piano through the meal.  I'll never forget when he came up to me halfway through the dance and said that he appreciated watching a perfectionist at work. Whew!

Dear Chris,
I just wanted to thank you for the grat job you did at (Bride and Groom's) Wedding Reception.  So many people came up to me with compliments for you.
My sister who attends many weddings in Omaha said you were the best she has seen.
If ever you need a reference have them give me a call.  My number is.....
Best of luck to you!
Sincerely,
Mother of the Bride
This was from a 50th birthday party in Ohiowa, NE.

Chris,
Thanks so much for helping to make (birthday boy's) surprise party extra special.  We appreciated your talent and caring in making even our youngest guests feel good.

Hello Chris-
Just wanted to let you know that YOU ROCK!!  Seriously though, thanks for everything that you did to make our Wedding Night so amazingly perfect!!  You have such awesome energy....and well, good job on corralling up our 'motley crew' when necessary:)
You are definitely at the top of our list for any future DJ needs!

Thanks again Chris!!

When this Bride first called me she made it clear that SHE did not want a dance at the reception, but her mother-in-law was insisting.

Chris,
While I am waiting on thank cards I can't help but informally tell you THANK YOU!  I have been thinking about my wedding since it was over and I had a lot of fun!  I would recommend your DJ service.  You  were really good at reading the crowd!  I personally didn't think not having alcohol kept anyone from dancing.  I enjoyed it and want to let you know that!  THANK YOU!!

I did a Wedding on 09/09/09 - my first Wednesday night reception.

Chris,
I don’t imagine you often get “Thank You” cards, but I felt it was necessary.  I can’t begin to but into words how much (the Groom) and I appreciated your work at our wedding reception on September 9.  EVERYONE we have spoken to that was there that night said it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding reception, and for that, all our thanks go to you!!
If you EVER need a referral, have them contact me!!

Thanks again – The Bride
